Hi Guys,

I want to start building a daemons list and it will have to be super competitive.
I have no players that play daemons to learn from, so I ask then for advice.
This is my starting point army list,
The heralds will go into the horror squads to give them presience.
The plague bearers will hold an objective.

The rest of the army is situational and can deepstrike anywhere it needs to go.
The icon and instruments should help getting reserves in fast and hard.

Please give constructive advice so that I can turn this wanna be list into something that should be feared.

You should try to squeeze a grimgoire in there so you can give 2++ Inv save where you please. And flamers are not good enough to be fielded in 2 units, one at the most. You can switch them in to something else, Screamers maybe?

Yes, i do agree that the grimoire should feature.

Here is a slightly revised list.
You will see that I am not giving the grimoire to the obvious princes but rather to a herald.
I want the grimoire to be central on the battlefield and the deepstriking pink horrors will usually be in the middle of the army.

I would take a defence line for your horrors a 2+ reroll able cover save is crazy especially with your threats moving forward. I've just posted a 2k list that uses this concept. If you want competative I'd say khorne hounds and seekers are better than princes. If you roll badly for your psychic powers they will get smashed. And with all the high str shooting from eldar and tau higher model count is what works for us daemon players now.
