Heard that Rockstar may to put microtransactions in GTA Online, pay real money to get in game money, and more money you have, the better you are in the game. = Pay 2 Win If its true, the game is screwed This may not be much of a problem to those money rich people, extreme gamers, grinder-lovers, but P2W annoys the hell out of me, last time I played a P2W game I played Spartacus Legends for free, and it was utterly terrible. Its just a one big "What if" and this "What if" could turn Rockstar Games the wrong way for its excellent games they have been making for a while. So, what you think? via Imgflip Meme Maker

Being able to trade real money for in game money isn't really pay to win unless you're someone who plays the in game economy, but then games with such easy access in in game currency (tend to) have crappy economies and no one tries to play them.
All trading real money for in game money achieves is speeding up the process of acquiring resources. In itself it's only conferred advantage is time saving/expediency. Of course it can become pay to win. it depends on what kind of items exist beyond the real currency barrier, and whether or not in-game money can be traded back for whatever the real money equivalent is; In STO there is Zen, bought with $$$ and can be traded for store items or Dilithium, an in-game currency. Thing is that Dilithium can also be traded back to the store for Zen, meaning people who pay no money can eventually acquire the store items as well.
BTW, grinder-lovers, would skip grinding why XD

Can't skip grinding if you are not paying, that's the whole concept of P2W I'm talking about.
Its even possibly stated that the properties you own will not make you much money, that's why they want you to pay to speed it up, while others that don't pay will just be outgunned and outclassed by the paying person who has better weapons, more properties, armor, vehicles because of the money he bought.
Since GTA 5 now has the Overpowered Buzzard from the Ballad of Gay Tony, the helicopter that takes a century to destroy and its spam of missles, right near to his dear friend, the 50 ton tank with unlimited explosive ammo and nearly unstoppable, all possible because the person who bought these very expensive vehicles is because he paid for in game currency to speed it up, possibly for the people that don't buy in game currency will take them a while
That is what I'm fearing right now for GTA 5, and the 70% of my reason WHY I bought GTA 5 is because of its multiplayer, BECAUSE I played more Multiplayer hours than story in GTA IV because of its amazingly, fun, balanced (Except for Ballad of Gay Tony) Multiplayer.

I suspect, and maybe this is just me, GTA 5 was never designed to be a balanced game. Hoping for such a thing is likely wishing for a game that Rockstar has no intention of ever making.
Its even possibly stated that the properties you own will not make you much money, that's why they want you to pay to speed it up, while others that don't pay will just be outgunned and outclassed by the paying person who has better weapons, more properties, armor, vehicles because of the money he bought.
That's assuming that there will be better weapons, armor, and vehicles that are not available without real money. Again, not saying that won't happen, I have no idea. But it's not money exchanges that are the problem here. Rather it would be a fundamental problem with the game's design i.e. creating player elitism.
Shattered Galaxy was a game like that, and it suffered for it. The players who didn't pay didn't stand a chance against those who did by a long shot. But the problem of pay to win isn't directly related to the issue of whether or not you pay. It's what you get for paying. I've played games that allow the trade of real money for in-game money and it can end badly or well.

Auto aim is fine in Story, but I really didn't seem to like it in GTA IV multiplayer.
But you are very much correct about not being pretty much balanced.
I just find the Tank a bit of a problem, but at the same time looks like fun.
Took out 200+ cops, NOOSES and Military, 15+ Helis, 50+ cars, and 3 Tanks before exploding and wasted.
How did I die? I shot a vehicle too close to me.
My biggest question that I would ask Rockstar itself is, will it be like the traditional GTA IV free roam? You get dropped off and just hang out with people and obtain vehicles and weapons by finding them laying around somewhere.
Or will it be you buying property, will not be the traditional pick up weapons layout in the city and vehicles hidden. I'm just really confused.
And is the In game currency just for your character customization ONLY? I mean, if you use your ingame currency in a free roam game to purchase property and left it, then come back, will it be there or you just spend the money just on the server and not really yours? If so will the person with the most money just own all that property and become the head honcho of the server?
October 1st looks like along way to go for this much hypeness. All these questions must be answered.

I don't find it too frustrating to have additional payment within games. If you don't want to spend the money you don't have to.
I was massively into FIFA for a few years, particularly Ultimate Team. Players who buy packs increase their money faster than those spending time trading or accumalating coins playing. It was frustrating getting matched up against supr stregnth teams sometimes but there was no way of knowing how that playing came about their coins.
I made roughly £200 out of FIFAs last release and more in previous years. If there is money in the game then you might be able to make money yourself out of it.

Well....Except you don't make money out of GTA 5 because its not a....You know... sport..
FIFA isn't even in the same section as GTA, and Football is designed to be a fair sport, while GTA is designed to be a criminal to murder people and rob banks in the game sounds pretty unbalanced.
Football team VS football team, may the best team with skills win
Tank VS Pistol, may the best weapon win.
^Yep that's GTA
And I don't want to make money, I want everything to be free for all, but Rockstar is turning over to the dark side of the EA I mean FORCE by doing THIS, Rockstar never does this.
Its the curse that video game companies are having, they start out good, caring for the gamers when they are a small company then end up being badly greedy for money and make crappy games because they care about money more than the gamers when they become famously big.

The price of success.
I see you are very emotive regarding this but maybe you should be looking to the smaller Indie games for what you want.
GTA hasn't been the same for me since Vice City. It'll never recapture that fun element for me.
FIFA can be pretty tough if you're playing against Messi & Ranaldo with a cheap team. The person using it is a massive factor also though.

Emotive? Yes, been waiting since 2011 for GTA 5, that year is when I first played GTA IV, my first GTA game? GTA 3 and that takes me back in 2008.
FIFA is hard, and I envy that you know this game pretty well, at first when I played the demo of FIFA 14, its like me playing a video game for the first time.
Yes....American I am but the sound of Football suits the name better than "Soccer"
LA Galaxy.....To bad my country in football is not big, sad indeed. Automatically Appended Next Post: You wouldn't really understand my bond of GTA, last time when I was this excited was Bioshock Infinite and I've been playing the Bioshock series since it began,
but a new GTA game with a new roman numerial is a big deal to me and rockstar games to perfect this.
Rockstar actually makes GOOD games. And to me, Rockstar is the only gaming company that I can trust,
I can't trust Capcom because of their insane DLC in your faces and their screw ups, ESPECIALLY Resident Evil 6.
I can't trust Gearbox after Aliens Colonial Marines, believe it or not I was excited about that game in 2006 until it was cancelled, when Gearbox finally released it, they lied about the game with the "Demo" version which looked so much better than the actual game, they even got sued for false advertising after it.
EA I shall and never trust. They are the main Villian of the gaming industry and manages to screw up every game they touch. I was severely disappointed after Dead Space 3, and I've been playing Dead Space since 2009.
Rockstar, they impressed me with LA Noire, they made me happy in Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV, and they made me trust them.
