Hi all, I've been collecting Guard for a few months and have fully painted my army and am looking to expand it. I have the following units so far: CCS, PCS, 2 Infantry Squads, Sentinel, Leman Russ (BT, Vanquisher or eradicator- interchangeable barrels = !) and an Aegis defence line with a quad gun. My current list is as follows as a allied army to any other in medium games:

I'm not to bothered about the points currently but the aim is to form a 1500pts army in the end, maybe 2000pts to be a main army and only act as allies to fill weakness' in my other army lists. To expand, I have considered getting 4 chimeras to add manoeuvrability to an otherwise very slow force. The army would (if outgunning my opponent) sit behind the Aegis with the autocannons firing from the chimeras top hatch (can I do this?) before breaking formation to grab objectives or retreat from an oncoming assault. I have considered also a second platoon with Al'rahem to add a counter attacking card to my hand to delay the closing in foe. Alternatively, my deep striking Flesh Tearers could provide the much needed harassment as the enemy close in, melta the AV 14 and contest objectives in the late game. A Special weapons squad with flamers or Vets with flamers and Harker could also provide this counter as the enemies get to assault range of my defensive line. I am aware that for me to outgun my opponent I must have more heavy guns so possibly a manticore next, or medusa or maybe just more Russ's. A vendetta would also help against AV13/14, against enemy fliers and Necron croissant air forces. I've mentioned a lot here so I leave the floor to you and thank you in advance for your help. Please give advice on what to add to improve my army so my men can die for glory in the name of the EMPRAH!! lol (PS What about Creed to hold the line together and provide assault capability for the counter attack thorough his order?)
