Afternoon!

An open invitation to the Dakka community to come and join us at Team Scotland's big 40K event - Caledonian Uprising.

This will be Caledonian Uprising's 4th year and we have averaged 90 players in the 3 previous years. We are playing 1850pts with my own version of an ETC style pack (there are 'soft' scores but are now very inclusive so everyone should get them!). Caledonian Uprising is the UK's first big 40k Event of the year (if not the biggest) and there will be many members of England, Wales, Scotland plus other nations in attendance!

We already have 70 reserved and tickets went on sale last night.

Date: Main Event: 18/19 January 2014
The Venue will be open on Friday 17 January for pick up games and the Caledonian Open

Event Format:

Caledonian Uprising

The event will comprise 5 games, 3 games on the Saturday and 2 games on the Sunday, lasting 3hrs each.
Missions and deployments will be announced at the beginning of each round by the Organisers.
Players will be drawn randomly for the first round with a ‘Swiss system’ being used to determine pairings for rounds 2-5.
Games will be played with Warhammer 40,000 6th Ed Armies of 1850pts.
Special Characters will be allowed.
Allies are allowed as are fortifications (limited to Defence Lines and Bastions).
Forgeworld '40K Approved' is allowed but each unit is 0-1 and you may only have 1 Forgeworld Unit with the 'Interceptor' Rule in your army.
