Hi,
I am going to start playing tournaments this year and am trying to get a list ready for it to playtest it first.
HQ :
Coteaz
Troops :
3 henchmen with bolter in chimera
3 henchmen with bolter in chimera
3 henchmen with bolter in chimera
3 henchmen with bolter in chimera
3 henchmen with bolter in chimera
3 henchmen with bolter in chimera
Fast Attack
Stormraven with MM, AC, psyamo and hurricane bolters
Stormraven with MM, AC, psyamo and hurricane bolters
Stormraven with MM, AC, psyamo and hurricane bolters
Heavy Support
DK with teleporter, heavy incinerator
DK with teleporter, heavy incinerator
DK with teleporter, heavy incinerator
Strategy
This list is fully mechanised so should at first be very resilient to small arms (S5 weapons can only wound the DKs)
I should have what is necessay for :
- Hordes : Dks heavy incinerators, Stormravens with hurricane plus assaultcanons
- Tanks : Dks in CC, Stormravens
- Flyers : with 3 Storm i should be fine
- Gunlines (Tau come to mind^^), the list will hopefully not care about anything S5 or lower, i can take care of low AP units with the DKs (pathfinders, kroots, FW, eldars....)
- Psyker defence : Against a psyker heavy list (daemons, eldars, GK, nids) the 3 SR with missiles should be quite usefull
Does it have any huge weakness/counter? Anything to improve it (of course there is)?
Thanks for the feedback

Why take a Chimera over a Razorback
A HB, and Psybolt Razorback is 50 pts to the chimeras 55
The Razorback is cheaper, has better firepower with TL and BS4.
The Chimera is great for larger henchmen units that want to shoot out of the firepoints.
The Razorback is better for Minimum sized units that just want to hide in the tank.
Your list will deal damage, and it may be hard to hurt, but it will be very hard for you to take objectives.
You only have 18 scoring models. Granted they are in 6 tanks, but a savvy opponent will be able to take that out with a 2K list. Your Knights and Ravens are not going to draw a lot of firepower, as they are big scary things, but your scoring models are the big target.
You can hide your scoring units, but then it may be hard to get them onto objectives.
Personally, I feel that your list is more of an "All In" style than a "TAC" style.
an "All In" list is based around putting something on the table than your opponent can deal with. If the opponent list is not capable of dealing with what you spammed, then they can't win easily.
If you go up against a list that does not have enough anti-tank firepower, you will win. If you go up against a list that can nuke your razorbacks and scoring units quickly, you will lose.
a "TAC" style list is based around never having a bad matchup. You have the tools to deal with anything you see across the table from you. Usually this means you will always have inefficient units, but you will also have some very efficient units for any given opponent. You usually win with close games rather than large wins or crushing defeats.
Depending on the Tournament Scoring and the Metagame, an ALL IN list can be very strong.
If you know that people in your area are not bringing a lot of anti-tank firepower, then your list will have more good matchups than bad ones.
If the Tournament scoring is based around having a few sweeping victories, then the Good matchups where you have big wins can propel you to the top of the points chart.

Thanks for the feedback.
To be honest i always hesitate between the razorback and the chimera.
The only pro of the chimera for this list (which made me take it) was for the front AV12 instead of AV11.
This means if i place my chimera correctly, all S5 shooting will be pointless which is not the case with the razorback.
That would enable me not to worry about any FW or the small missiles from TAU.
My list was thus not a TAC list i agree. What would you say would be a bad match up for it?
In the current meta (from what i saw only on the internet i admit), the main armies would be :
- Eldar WS spam, i did not yet found any real counter to that in GK army but think this list can handle it better then most (for GK)
- Tau Riptide spam. The DKs can manage the Riptides in CC if i manage to get there. To stop me getting there, he would need to focus the DKs instead of my troops so i should be able to manage.
- Tau gunline : Once again, this list can cause it some issues hopefully with mobility and AV.
- Necrons : 3 storm should manage the opposing flyers and deny him mobility, The AB can be managed by the DKs, for the Wraith i am not sure...
- Tauzilla : Unlike GK PA lists, this one will probably find it a bit more difficult, but the storm will fear little except for the flyrants (and still...), the DKs can manage the tervigons in CC
Thanks for the feedback once more it is rare to have one as constructive.

The Chimera vs Razorback is a bit more of an issue.
What guns were you going for on the the Chimera?
Do you want to be forced to deploy most of your chimera clumped up in a line or do you want the more independent Razorbacks?
What is the terrain like? Will a large tank wall work well on the tables you play on?
Razorbacks can spread out to defend against high Str blast weapons without exposing AV 10.
Basically a Bad Matchup for your list would be anything that packs a ton of S6-8 firepower with decent range.
Missile Spam Space Wolves, Guard Gunline (either mech with lots of hydras or foot with lots of Autocannons)
I think Necron air might be an okay matchup. You can kill their air power well, but their flyers will tear apart your mech ground forces.
internet metagame is somewhat important. What really matters is what you play against. Are you planning on going to larger events where the internet meta is more common, or more local events where poeple are playing more fringe lists?

Well for local gaming, i have no need for cheesy lists, the club i play at is very fluffy lists mainly.
Only one player really tries to make competitive lists but plays Tyranids and Daemons so i have not had issues with those.
The idea thus will be to try some tournaments around Paris (where i live) and i dont know the level of competition there to be honest.
I had indeed not thought about the need to spread my transports to avoid the blasts and thus show my side armor.
Razorback it will be then, unless i change my henchmen to plasma/melta henchmen by dropping the hurricane bolters and psyamo on the storms (then being able to shoot from the transport would likely bring the chimera on top i think).
