Has anyone tried to magnetize Necrons? I recently saw the end of a Cryptek arm magnetized and it was pretty cool. I am trying to figure out what size magnets were used if anyone has done this before.

The Necron arms are pretty small so I am thinking maybe a 1/16" dia. x 1/32" or a 1/10" dia. x 1/32" but don't know if that is too small or too big.

Thanks.

Ive only seen it on vehicles never on infantry like the warriors. although if you get small enough magnets I can see things like lords in finecast working as they aren't hallow inside

I magnitize my lords at the shoulders, and use 1/8" magnets.

For my cryptek weapons, I use basically overlord staves, and magnitize the weapon heads, I use a 1/16" magnet for that.

I am out of town right now,but will try to scrounge up some pics and exact measurements when I get home this weekend.

Awesome. Thanks Dave.

Pictures would definitely help when you have time.

I magnetized my immortals following this tutorial http://entertheblacklibrary.tumblr.com/post/27769663169/how-to-magnetize-necron-immortals-guass-tesla
I used 1/8 x 1/16 magnets instead of 3/32 x 1/16. I also extended the cut edge of the gauss blaster by about 1/16 and bulked it up so it matched the handles of the tesla carbine
