Ok heres my army im planning on taking to this years UK GT heats. Its currently in no real way finalised, but i want to stick to a definite theme or everything either being mounted in, or is, a jetbike or a grav tank. Fast, scary but flawed - just the way i like it!!

In previous incarnations ( i love that word), ive had a fire prism but i think a third falcon is requisite. Ive also had three wave serpents but im now going to try shining spears..............yes really. Reasons? Shoot better than wave serpent, easier to hide, 6 grav tanks is hard to hide in deployment, more points in scoring units, JSJ out of potential shooting range (hopefully), etc. I think i might be being a bit dillusional about them but they worked ok in the only game ive played so far with this.

Farseer o'Knuckles - Ghosthelm, Witnessing, Mind War, Guide, Jetbike - 125

Storm squad - 2 flamers, 5 sp&ccw, warlock with witchblade, sp and destructor
Wave serpent with twin lances and spirit stones - 239

Storm squad - 2 flamers, 5 sp&ccw, warlock with witchblade, sp and destructor
Wave serpent with twin lances and spirit stones - 239

Vyper with starcannon - 65
Vyper with starcannon - 65
Shining Spears - 2 normal bods, exarch with bright lance of miss a lot - 195

3 Falcons with starcannon, spirit stones and holofield - 190 each.

Comes in at 1498 of BS 3 doom.

Erk- this may sound too strong, but you're likely to get smashed bro. You have 8 scoring units- which isnt toooo bad- but, they're either flimsy vehicles (not incl. the 3 Falcons) or weak infantry.

Your opponent will take out the Vypers really easily. Then move on to the Serpents or Spears. Only 2 casualties to give him 100VP.

I think you need more meat somewhere. Some more bodies somewhere or more firepower somewhere else. Maybe lose a falcon and get 3 more vypers? I dont know where to go from here with mounted Eldar.

I love the theme- just dont think its gonna be fun for you to get shot up lots and spend your last three turns moving your remaining shaken falcons.

it really depends on how you like to play.

i just finished a tankish tau force(1850). it is extremely small for tau, but then again it is focued on the devilfish and hammerheads. being forced to take the +1crisis suit hurt me some on my original idea.

if your going to play this there are a couple things to remember-skimmers in 40K are very survivable especially if you give them the neccesay upgrades and remember to always move over 6" per turn. the key here is that all your serpents are not scoring units, but the guys inside are. the key thing is to keep them out of close combat, reducing them by 50%+,  getting pinned or running off the table.....to do this the best way id to keep them inside thier vehicles as much as possible. this has a couple pro's and cons. doing this reduces the number of shots you have each turn, if the vehicle is destroyed your opponant gets to re-roll for wounds on units traveling in fast vehicles and they are effectively stuck/pinned in the reckage for the next turn. on the other side you avoid all the stuff mentioned previously and you get instant 4+ cover saves from the wreckage for anybody that survives.

i thought about doing what you did with eldar but i liked the tau a bit better for it, especialy since i can upgrade the vehicles BS

i also play ravenwing and in armys that have light skimmers like land speeders and vipers i tend to run them in squads for increased firepower and survivability.

in the end it is highly likely that your army can in 6 turns do enough damage to your opponant to win the game through attrition since he is less likely to be hurting your scoring units while you are plucking away at his.

i love mobile armies, proxy with some friends to try it out and see how you like it.

as long as it is alegal list and you enjoy playing it thats all that really matters.
