I'm going to be doing a battle against the tau with 750 pts and i'm not sure what to bring. He seems to favor his heavy support so i'm guessing tank-bustas?

Waaaaaaaaaaaagh!

Quincy, IL Hit me up if you are around and want to play

No, when playing the current ork book always use three squads of kannon... they are insanely cheap and they are tough as hell due to the new artillery rules. As for units I would suggest at this low of points to just take around 15 man boy squads with nobs and boss poles. Nobs get big choppa (to help kill tanks) and big shootas to allocate their shots to whom they want on 6s. I would also try to do a warboss on a bike with klaw to really kill broadside or armor. And all shoota boys lol

Check out my battle reports at http://www.youtube.com/user/theblessing8386/videos and see the models you trade me duke it out!

Some Tomb World in some galaxy by that one thing in that one place (or Minnesota for nosy people)

if your looking for just a flat up list i could give you one.

if you are looking for what to bring i would suggest a speed freakish style list with a blob of boyz in a BW with a KFF mek and a couple trukks full of boyz supported by kannons. (take BP on the nobz thats it because anything big enough to squish it will squish it beforeit can swing with a PK will squish it, and anything that wont he will squish fine without the PK for tau and you dont wanna be fleeing from a couple pot shots from fire warriors.) tau struggle vs av 13+ and especially at this low points value where his only real AT will be a railhead or a stray fusion blaster on a suit which your kannons and deffrolla should have no problem squishing.

hope i helped if you want me to give you a list based on what i said i can no problem

Good stuff in this post. Our basic ork boy is good enough in small games that he should have some trouble dealing with them. Tau dread assault, and so vehicles will get you there fast..

If you want to stand and trade dakka you'll want lootas and shoota boyz.

A KFF mek isn't bad but remember tau should be able to reliably remove cover saves. If there is an HQ #2 you like then consider it for funsies.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Ya sure they can strip cover easy peasy but i like to look at it this way, those markerlights are now going into stripping cover for one unit instead of boosting BS for more units to dakka through the unit. He won't have too many markerlights at this points value so he will have to use them sparingly and cautiously because if he focuses the wrong unit with them then the rest of the ork army will go untouched and plow through the silly fish
