So the team tournament is under way over in Belgium right now.
Looks like both US teams are undefeated in round one.
The even have a shiny website with live results and all that jazz.

Go USA! Anyway, now I got that out of my system, I listened to a podcast with a breakdown on how the WTC worked and they had an interview with one of the US team guys. Really interesting stuff. Apparently the meta is so crazy different in other parts of the world that during their strategy sessions they literally just looked at some lists, put a "?" next to them and decided to figure it out when they got there.

USA! USA! USA!
Listening to some UK podcasts what I always found intrestesting is that not only is the Meta completely different in each region(which is understandable) but there are also variations in rule interpretations, different scenarios, and even different standard point values.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Well, 2nd and 6th is pretty good team placement. I think we're doing quite respectably for our first appearance.
Also apparently this round involved a Deneghra2 mirror match and a Vayl2 mirror match on the part of the US teams...that must have been an interesting experience.

Wow, 2nd and 4th. That is honestly a lot better than I was expecting (I was hoping for 1st and 2nd, but I honestly didn't think that would happen).
Looking forward to these guys bringing back some European meta to the US and throwing everybody for a loop.
