Another sad day, when another independent business, is threatened by the GW legal team(lawsuits etc), and forced into actions that will not benefit the hobby as whole, in the long run. I personally think all these companies, that do painting shows, reviews etc, should just stop making free advertisement for GW, because the company does apparently not appreciate it. And start more actively, promoting other games instead....

You're about 48 hours late dude, there's already a thread in N+R

Does this mythical GW cancer come from asbestos?

Or maybe smoking?

Oh, come on fella, don't be facetious, you know exactly what analogy he's trying to draw.

I actually think the actions of GW's Corporate Division actually, far from being a cancer, has an edifying effect on a certain type of hobbyist.

You'll know how critical I have been, and will continue to be of GW, but i have no agenda, if I see something worthy of praise, I promise you I will be amongst the first to praise it.

But there is a "type" I've encountered, and I'm sure you will too, that enjoy being the Rebellion to GWs Empire, and while GW continue to act this way, they're happy.

Do GW's actions actually damage the hobby through their actions? Probably not significantly, sure they throw their weight around and get a few things C+D'd or put OOP, but while they are driving veterans away (to new games and companies no doubt) they are still hoovering up noobs, who will one day be vets (hopefully)

They do damage themselves though, at least when viewed through the lens of the Internet community, and that is something they shouldn't want.
