I missed my introduction.
I am from germany and 35 years old. I found my interest for 40k a few weeks ago, as I entered a local GW store to look around. Of course I've heard of Warhammer before, but I saw those awesome models and thought I want to paint those
After a week of exploring all the races and 2 paintjobs (Tyranid Zoanthrope and DA Belial) I decided to go with the Space Marines (Ultramarines). So i bought the Codex, Rulebook and the sternguard squad.
In the last 2 weeks, this forum has been a great help (unregistered user at that time). Thank you all for your contributions, especially in the "painted" sections which gives noobs like me great examples.

Chaos Space Marines was my first choice as the models look the coolest for being marines. But Chaos kinda suck this edition as do Daemons. I think the Space Marine will be perfect to start. Get a small army going and see where it takes you. As a Marine you can pretty much ally with anyone almost.
