This is my first attempt at making purity seals. I haven't green stuffed any wax seals on yet. I just wanted to get an idea of what this would look like before I go to town on my Deathwing. They are made from some plastic "for sale" sign card stock that i warped with a lighter. I think they look pretty good, but was wondering if anyone knew of any other techniques for making nice flowing seals.

The best method I find for making flowing purity seals is to roll out greenstuff to the thickness you're happy with and then cut it into parallel strips. Now you can either drape it over the model in the fashion you desire, or you can leave it to set a little and then drape it over a pencil or other cylindrical object so that it sets in a naturally curled way. I did this one by the former method - draping it over the model and arranging it to fit nicely. You may also be able to cut little nicks into the seal and feather the end a little to make it appear a little more worn.

That was my original plan, but I wasn't sure how rigid they would be with such a thin strip of green stuff. Have you had many problems with snapping? If only I were not so clumsy, I wouldn't have to worry so much about this.

Grnstuff should flex so snapping wouldn't be to big a deal but what I do is coat alot of my green stuff work in a layer of super glue and/or varnish to harden it up once dry, otherwise it's to floppy in long fine lengths and can tend to get damned over time. Personnely your method seems good, but I find green stuff great for purity seals.
