Okay, I have well over 100 Dark Angels that need painted, plenty are just gonna be prime-basecoat-secondary coat-secondary colors-details-TO THE FRONT LINE SCRUBS! However some of my units either due to great service on the TT as a member of the Grey Angels (can't call them dark when they dont even have a coat of primer) or just because the model clicks with me I want to do extra stuff for. So my current special units are and my plans that follow are:

A unit I call Sgt.Cpt. (he has done both roles so many times his name switches depending on role); I was thinking of using the saliva effect some nid players do, and instead mix it with red and drip it off his sword, and as a 'nod' to the friend who's trygon uses the effect I want to add some disected nids at his feet.

Cypher (I like his model, its sexy): this is just a rather straightforward paint him, add some scorch marks to plasma pistol, greenstuff the broken sword on his shoulder, the part I want some advice on is how to get bolt pistol casings at his feet.

Force Axe TerminatorLibrarian: I want to try my hand at that awesome lightningy neon on his axe, and due to damage during a move he has a sb instead of a open hand, so on the storm bolter I want to try and add a smoking effect

Sammael: I want to splatter his bike with blood, and my friend has a grot that looks like its holding onto something for dear life, and frankly I want to throw it on the back of the bike

Sword terminator librarian: Simply I just want him to be choking the life out of a guardsmen

Terminator Chaplain: I want to place a smashed chaos marine helmet at his feet, how would you recommend doing this (I am a complete noob at greenstuff)

So guys(and gals) I want your opinions, and any advice you have to help see this through

In brief:
Sgt. Captain, blood dripping off blade, with some pooling at his feet with a vivisected nid at his feet

Cypher vague scorch marks on his PP, greenstuff the broken sword on pauldren, shell casings at feet


Axe Librarian, try and pput a neon blue on his axe possibly smoke effect on SB

Sammael, splatter with blood, possibly have grot hang off back

Sword librarian, choking a guardsmen (probably defeated catachan)

Chaplain: Cave in csm helm at feet

The mid and cipher can't help

The lib with axe. Storm bolter you say. I'd suggest a grey knight terminator arm. Leaves the hand free for an awesome pointing pose axe held high. Or a dark eldar head in hand and crumpled de body at his feet.

Blood splatter well that's as easy as flicking paint. The grot. Dunno how it's posed but a chain around its throat tied to the bike

The helm I'm useless at but my suggestion remodel the knee. Crushed helm under the foot! A big f you to chaos

Well, after looking at those HH praetors I may either do preheresy Dark Angels, or just shortly after the heresy (pre fall of caliban) More importantly I have a crap load of black paint that I need to burn through
