Well in a few days time I'm off to Germany to act as a henchman for Simple Miniatures and Wyrd doing demos of Malifaux at the huge Essen game fair

I've noticed quite a few European guys on this forum over the last couple of years but I'm wondering what other forums are goo in order to drum up a bit of interest amongst potentially interested players?????? Does anyone know what other forums I can use as well to let people know we'll be at Essen doing demos (and buying stuff)

Dakka is good but I was hoping to find some more local ones for people who are likely to be going to Essen - anyone got any ideas

How do you expect me to know what it is if you haven't painted it! Unpainted models are just proxies for the real thing

For starters, you should head over to boardgamegeek and get into the relevant threads here and here.

From there you probably need to get more local.

One of the bigger German communities is TableTopWelt.de - funky 2001-webdesign included.

Brueckenkopf Online and Magabotato could be used reactively, i.e. once they start a News thread on Essen, you can chime in.

I never found anything similar in France when I was living there, sadly.

Currently playing: Infinity, SW Legion

What he said .... plus http://www.gw-fanworld.net/forum.php .

That said, it is Spiel (pronounces "shpeel"). And if it is in German language, it is local enough for the Spiel. Keep in mind that GenCon has about 50k attendees, Spiel about 150k. And that it takes 5-8h max to drive there from any point in Germany.

I will be there Saturday and Sunday.
