It is a fairly simple list, the trick is to plan my assaults out carefully and use the rhinos to deny overwatch.

I have some points left over, any suggestions on improvements or how the list will fare?

Strip the psychic powers. As a CSM DP it HAS to take a power from tzeentch. You might as well spend those points on another tendril for your fiend or on your CSM or an extra meltagun.

If you could take rhinos out to reduce first blood bait I think you'd be better off. Perhaps Kharn with cultist blob could yield more potential.

Chaos Space Marines are just so underwhelming. Should catch a few people off guard, though

I've thought about it but no I'm keeping the psychic powers. The 2 Biomancy powers I roll are crucial to keeping the prince alive - even if I roll the less useful ones it will help him to survive to a lesser degree and to do more kill, murder, maim. Let's break it down:

1. Iron arm -solid gold
2. Enfeeble - helps my black mace kill things more easily
3. Endurance - solid gold part II
4. Life Leech - help restore lost wounds
5. Warp Speed - helps me get into assault more reliably and not be stuck out in the wind to be shot up
6. Hemorrhage - the one Meh Biomancy power I don't want to roll

Dude. The tzeentch powers all serve a purpose. Even the primaris is mo effin awesome against hoards I've dealt with. I've multiple times a simple Tsons Sorc blast/inferno 4/5 of a unit. I wish they'd FAQ. A DP rerolls spawn/daemon :/ Doombolt and breath are loads of fun while swooping.

Hmmm, this list has potential. here are my 2c. the list needs speed, to go with the fiends and the fmc. i recommend some flesh hounds of khorne. you can get these by dropping the csm all together.

as said earlier, csm are very weak and underwhelming, i will say you will not get out of them what you have put in them. drop them and just take cultists honestly. I'd also drop those bloodletters, they are worse than the csm. truly awful unit, especially at 10 man. think of either taking 3+1 cultist to plaguebearers, or 2+2. i use 2+2.

after you get you some hounds I'd consider also trying to get a soulgrinder to give you some demon armor saturation, and because they are amazing.

and idk if you did, but you should always ALWAYS spend 15 points on the spell familiar for any caster you take. auto include.

True with spell familiar. How have you liked tendrils? I never use them.

I have made adjustments to include a spell familiar, it is just to good not to have.

Tendrils have come into play in 1 of 5 games so far, against an opponent that was using MSU's of wraithblade troops. Saved my butt and was able to get a win out of it.
Otherwise the tendrils haven't been a factor as I run FMC's and Maulerfiends and they have been getting attacked by grenades in HtH. I still think they are useful but are they worth 10 points? Probably but it is a close call.

Indeed, you can put pressure upon the enemy with 3 Maulerfiends, 2 FMCs, and 2 Helldrakes. At the same time your troop units should go for the objectives. It could work.

Hmm, I am considering a couple of alterations to the list. I am open to suggestions as I don't have much experience with the Daemon codex.

Alteration 1:

Drop 1 Maulerfiend
Drop 8 man CSM squad with a rhino.

Add a chaos daemon Demon Prince of Khorne in the heavy slot with 2 greater gifts
Add 10 man cultist squad.

I love the added bang of another FMC but I'm losing 2 threats and only adding one. Plus I'm afraid my troops are now too thin to get the job done in objective based games.

Alteration 2:

Drop 1 Maulerfiend and 30 points more from somewhere else.

Add 10 Flesh Hounds

This I think is good, more flexibility and I think more threat value that a third Maulerfiend? What do you guys think?
