Firstly, I am here to serve the greater good at any cost. That being said, any new recruit needs some basic training. Heres what my studies have given me:

12x Fire warriors- Devilfish/ ML drones

1x Hammerhead- Longstike/ SMS
1x Hammerhead- SMS

1x Riptide- Ion Accel/ Early Warning/ VT/ 2x SMD

3xCrisis Command/ Bodyguard
---Commander- Fusion/ Plasma/ Target lock
---Bodyguard- Burst cannons/ Plasma
--------------3x marker drones

3x Broadsides-
---1x ALL missiles/ target lock
---2x Railgun/ SMS/ Position Relay
-------------3x marker drones


TOTAL: 1876

This is what I have so far. Idea is to keep the crisis suits in reserve, riptide , broadsides and hammer heads in back. Then, with 4 Dfish riding board edge, rush a quick flank to a good cover position along a board edge. About that time, the crisis suits will deepstrike in with the relay and melta the hell out of priority targets. The big guns lay waste to the newly opened package and then the 4 fish swoop in to finish the job. Thoughts? I have a few point left and need some help

Ok. Some things are good some things are bad.

1. With that many fire warriors. You either need ethereals or fire blades to go with them. Because if an enemy makes it to them or starts blowing them to pieces. They will run off the board with a quickness. And seeing its a lard part of you force. That won't end well for you.
2. IMO. I would drop the devil fishes and make another unit of crisis suits. I would just make a gunline with the fire warriors to anchor down the backline and use the suits to move forward and blow up stuff.
3. For your Commander and 2 bodyguards. Your weapons choice are all over the place. Personally because you only have one HQ at 2k points. I would want to keep my HQ at a distance for the most part and kite/shoot. So give all three a MP/MP....MP/Plasma...Plasma/plasma..or something like that would be better imo to keep your HQ and guards at a safer distance/having the wepons be more effective from a better distance.

Im fairly sure the wise commander puretide told all of us tau commanders that you should never take more than 2 base 6 man fire warrior squads and add in more big guns!

Please do explain. Sadly Puretide died before I could learn from him and I couldnt gain access to him memory bank that is so frivolously shared with these unworthy commanders..
