It's been out for a bit now. How has it been holding up against the other factions ?

I'll argue that they don't have nearly enough models to make that judgment yet. While I haven't proxied a ton of stuff from the book, I expect that those additions will make them reasonably competitive in casual/small tournament play, but very near to the bottom in larger settings. Still far too early to be sure, though.

Almost half of their casters and models have yet to be released, including what are arguably their two best support pieces.

In other words, it is really too early to tell yet.

I think they will end up being a solid faction once more their stuff is out. Mainly the Corollary, every warmachine faction would love to have that thing.

PP seems to be at least giving a good look at future model material with the COC units.

I own the battlebox but mainboard Retribution.

I play against them almost weekly, it seems.

Their big issue is that they just don't have all their best stuff out yet. And in fact, their best stuff doesn't come out until the end.

They have some decent stuff; Syntherion is a strong caster, the Cipher is a good 'jack.

But the best stuff- the stuff that's really awesome, like their battle engine and their flying heavies and their Enigma Foundry - none of them are out.

So if you want to play Convergenc,e go ahead, pick up their book. Proxy it out. Just be aware that the stuff that'll make them realy, really good isn't available yet.
