I believe I have made a quiet solid CSM Death Guard list, everyone has their own unique opinions about every model out there and this is a list that I feel will work well together. I am looking for feedback not necessarily so that I may change my list but just to get an idea of what other people (preferably other CSM players) think of my list.

HQ
Typhus 230
Sorcerer (Mark of Nurgle, Mastery 2, Sigil of Corruption, Bike) 145

Elite
Hellbrute (Fist, TL Lascanon) 125
Hellbrute (Fist, TL Lascanon) 125

Troop
Plague Marine (7 Units, Plasma x2, Champ Combi Melta, Rhino) 243
Plague Marine (7 Units, Plasma x2, Champ Combi Melta, Rhino) 243
Zombies (20 units) 90
Zombies (10 units) 50

Fast
Chaos Bikers (3 units, Mark of Nurgle, Champ Combi Plasma, plasma x2) 128
Heldrake 170
Heldrake 170

Heavy
Havoc (5 units, Missile launcher x4, Flakk x4) 175

Fortification
Aegis Defense Line (Quadgun) 100

1994

Objective Games
Plan is to Plant the 10 zombies on my backfield objective and drop the aegis near with the Havocs manning the gun and blasting away with missiles (at air units if any), run the 20 zombies and both plague marines to midfield objective. run typhus as support/assassin to assist the plagues, run the super beefy bikes with the even more beefy sorc off to take out big targets with their plasma (T6, jink saves, and 4+ invuln on sorc, on bikes with plasma. talk about a kill squad), if i capture the midfield or if enemies turtle hard tarpit the mid objective with the 20 zombies and run the plague marines and typhus to cap the enemies backfield objective, use bikes to assist if it gets to this point. use Helbrutes to take out tanks and other big stuff from far away (48" lascannon) while helping guard the havocs/Zombies on backfield. Heldrakes raise hell on the board when they come in.

Kill Games
Run the plague marines and the bikes up midfield - ish and park behind cover only CC with plagues if MC comes up, otherwise just blast with plasma and rapid fire bolts. Typhus stays somewhat near plagues and challenges squad champions every chance he gets, and HQs most of the time (obviously i know he cant take them all, just most haha) and run the bikes around as distractions/big target attackers. Tarpit big stuff midfield with zombies and keep em busy the whole game (shift to 2 groups of 15 zombies from 20 and 10) Keep the Havocs on the quad gun shootin missiles away and the helbrutes somewhat near them blasting with lascanons. once agian Heldrakes be Heldrakes.

Quite like the list! I have a few minor issues that I would change, but it is personal preference.

First is small, I'd take melta guns on the bikers. That unit is turbo tough and quite fast, you could make some epic use of the 2D6 armour pen. Love the idea of putting the sorcerer with them.

My next point is bigger. I detest hellbrutes. They are the same points as a mauler fiend, and I think they are much worse! Considering a mauler fiend can move 12", it can regain wounds, and once per game it can re roll all failed wounds. I think they would be much better tank hunters. Alternatively for the cost of the brutes you could throw in some death guard termies! Forge world do some pretty upgrades, and they'd sit beautifully with typhus. No one likes toughness 5 termies!

I had 5 termis in my last list instead of the brutes, my only issue is I have no really artillery type units, and brutes were the only thing i could find that i could slap lascanons on for a reasonable price. Maybe i should invest the helbrute points in 5 havocs with lascannons, or i could do 3 nurgle Obliterators.

Perhaps forgefiends then? 2 hades auto cannons are nice. I'm jus dead against brutes. I think they get killed to easily. Just an opinion, I've never had any luck!

Stoke on trent

Or a defiler ?? Then you get the battle cannon and a pretty sweet close combat unit at the same time

Ive read in alot of places that Defilers are not that great unless you take more than 1. reasons being that they are to powerful with the battle canon so they become a HUGE target and A12 isnt enough to keep them going very long when they are the prime target.

I agree that hell brutes aren't really worth it man, and kudos to you for not taking hell drakes I also agree with putting meltas on your bikes, makes far more sense. Also you might want to change the combi meltas in your marines to plasma so it fits with the rest of the squad. You don't want to fire it at a tank and waste the rest of the squads shooting phase. As for things you could replace the hell brutes with, go for vindicators, the rock and are the same points almost if I remember so a straight swap.

I can see why you choose the Brutes, but I have to say I don't think it's ever a good idea until you at least have your heavy slots maxed out and are out of other (better) options.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

Agree that the only use of a HELLBRUTE = give your opponent '1ST BLOOD' :(
