Hi,
We are planning to launch our Kickstarter campaign next month and need some support in testing it and making sure we have worked out the bugs and can deliver a solid user experience.
We have created an online tool that will allow users to create their own MDF terrain, acrylic markers, and foam storage/carriers. The tool will let you build any shapes that you want so you can build anything from the ground up or if you prefer you'll be able to load in blank templates and populate them with windows, doors, objects, or surface patterns - so it's a plug-and-play Lego approach. You'll be able to buy a material of your choice and do anything you want with it in the virtual world, we cut and etch it for you and send it on back to you as a physical piece(s).
What we're looking for, if this appeals to you, is for people to run the through the tool playing around with everything and looking for places that may have bugs or may not be as user friendly as we think.
Anyone that can help out will get a free board of material assuming we have a successful KS campaign. If you have some interest in help out please PM me and we'll set you up with an account and find time for a short tutorial.
Thanks,
Al

I guess I'm a little confused. Aren't they announcing a promotion? Isn't that news, by definition?
I'm interested!

I understand the confusion -
It is soliciting help as it's primary function, not announcing a kickstarter or showing any new product. I understand it could appear otherwise but this is essentially a help wanted ad. Once they actually launch, or have concrete content to show/give purely as announcement they are more than welcome to make an N&R thread.
No disrepect meant, but this was a little too far to one side to be an N&R thread, hope the reasoning makes sense. Thanks!

I have several years worth of experience working QA, and would be happy to help out.
