Hello Dakka Dakka, I've been lurking on this website for a couple of months now and thought it was high time to sign up and start getting involved; this is a great website and from what I've seen it has a great community to match.
I played my first game of Warhammer 40k about 6 months ago using my friend's Chaos Space Marines (playing against it, too) and was swiftly sucked into the whole thing. After browsing a few of the codex's I decided on collecting Orks, as I'll be playing games fairly irregularly they seemed like a great fun army to enter the hobby with despite the inevitably high start up costs to own mob worthy of a proper Waaagh! As I've played so few games (probably a dozen) I've found this forum invaluable to help me build effective lists with my Orks and understand the way the codex works, but despite this I will inevitably be posting bad lists and asking stupid questions!
I've already built up a decent sized army (with a selection of HQ's, 2 Nob units, 1 MANz unit, 1 Burna Boyz unit, 1 Loota unit, 1 Kommandos unit, 140 Boyz, a mob of Grots, multiple Trukks, a few Deffkoptas, 2 Battlewagons, Deff Dread, 3 Killa Kanz, 3 Big Gunz and a Looted Wagon) and can comfortably field 2000 points of greenskins, which is the size of game I usually play.
So after that introduction there's not much left to say, but I'm glad to be a part of Dakka Dakka and look forward to contributing.
