So I kinda have been out of the loop, haven't played with my wolves since beginning of summer, let alone my Salamanders (been waiting for the new dex). Last I heard chaos hell birds were king competitively. I've heard one of the only ways to run Salamanders effectively is via drop pod, which is cool, I like drop pods, but that's exactly what my wolves do so I want to do something a bit different.

Anyway, how much of these new anti-air, flying vehicles, and new toys are must haves?

Are the new Shooty Centurians worth their cost (points and cash)?

I love putting boots on the table and kitting out squads uniquely to give them personality. I've seen spamming the same unit become effective but I feel like that kind of takes away from the theme a bit. It could just be that I'm more of a fluff/lore player than a competitive player, which is probably true, but if anyone could bring me up to speed on the competitive side that would be awesome!
