hi guys and girls,

thought I'd say hello, I got into warhammer/40k in the 90's as a kid, I kinda lost interest after a while and gave all my old models away to a friends son who was ill at the time and looking for something to keep him entertained! 10 years on and like quite a few others it seems, I find myself drawn back to it again! I've always enjoyed the modelling / painting side of it more than the gaming, probably because I don't have a strategic bone in my body, maybe age has left me wiser! we'll see I guess!

I wanted something to keep me busy on an evening now the weathers turned cause to be honest working on my cars ( the other hobby) sucks when its cold! I spotted the Dark Vengeance box and I liked a few of the models enough to fancy painting them, now I find myself hooked again! I've been slowly grabbing ebay bargains to paint up, I have a bit of a dark angels force, since I had the dark vengeance set to start with it seemed an obvious choice to begin with, I've always loved orks tho, and I'm building up a bit of an ork horde as well, because as much as I love the dark angels, they ain't that interesting to paint!

anyway great site, its really given me some good ideas and tips on getting back into painting again!

cheers!

steve

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
