Raef "Hollywood" Granger returns to the third chair as we talk about the often tricky topic of "Game Group Dyanamics." How do you keep a long running game group together.

Later we dive into Space Cadets: Dice Duel from Stronghold games. Can a box of fancy dice and some bits of cardboard simulate the tension and drama of a starship bridge during combat? We'll tackle this and other pressing questions!

All that and our other not-too-horrible segments including:

- Total Fan Girl
- Do You Ever Notice
- The Hollywood Minute
- News
- & More

Great show. It's just better with Raef.

It doesn't seem to me that its just what Raef says, although he is more argumentative than most 3rd chairs, but the energy on the entire show is kicked up a notch when he's on. Maybe you could try and recreate the extra energy by wearing women's slacks when he's not there.

A lot of the factors that you were talking about in the gaming group segment are recognisable from many other social groups and situations. I have recently become involved with try to save my local village Working Men's Club http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_men%27s_club which is relevant as I have had to get out of my comfort zone and meet many new people, breaking down the cliques, which I think has made me better person and also as I'm trying to get a casual gaming night going down there one night a week to bring the punters in. I was very motivated to hear Russ say that I just need to keep on plugging away with a few people and then the others will come!

Why couldn't Matt Wilson get a drink from the vending machine?
Because he had No Quarters.

Downloaded, but not listened to...yet.

But, I thought I'd just chime in again and say that, with it's release imminent, I'm really hoping for a full-bore Wild West Exodus episode. I want to hear Craig talk about the writing side, Romeo talk concept and what's coming, and....is it Alessio who wrote the rules? I think it's time to have him back on the show.

I'm anxiously awaiting my KS shipment (in customs as I write this), and am currently reading Craig's first novel (!) and loving it (except for the layout, which is very distracting).

So, c'mon, D6G, it's time for a trip to the Wild West!

Thanks for the kind words, guys. And thanks for the support and kind words on the novel, Jeff! I feel your pain on layout . . . we're in the process of trying to convince Winged Hussar that the layout is . . . well, how did a publisher I spoke to last weekend put it . . . hostile to the reader's eyes? I couldn't agree more . . .

As for a full-court push on WWX . . . the pressure to avoid appearing as a shill, no matter how close our particular connections to this one is . . .

But I can't imagine we won't hit it somehow

Keep an eye out!

And thanks again!

~Craig

Far-stretching, endless Time
Brings forth all hidden things,
And buries that which once did shine.
The firm resolve falters, the sacred oath is shattered;
And let none say, "It cannot happen here".

Hey Russ, what was the name of the lego competition your kids were doing again? It sounds really interesting, I wanted to see if we had something similar in this area.

Great ep, guys.

Great episode as usual. I really enjoyed hearing about the history of your gaming group.

Wasn't there one lost chapter that went into the history of the Dakka Dakka store? I'd love to hear about that more.
