So I just watched beasts of war play a demo game of kings of war and have 2 questions:
1. Is it true that there is no line for Kingdoms of Men?
2. Is it true that Mantic tournaments lets you use any models? Doesn't that lead to different art styles from different games meshing on the board in a image mess?

1. Correct. However there are heaps of good plastic miniatures suppliers out there (Perry historical miniatures are a great example of this) which you can use to make your army, and for a cheap price too!
2. As far as I have heard this is correct. And as for different styles? I think people usually stick to a theme. For example, you could use Wargames Factory Samurai and make a Samurai themed Kingdom of Men themed army and be just fine. Choose to go however you want.

KoM is the generic "catch-all" army for "Human" troops as they're neutral and can ally with either good or evil (or other neutrals), so if you're coming from a WHFB background, it works as "counts-as" for your Empire, Brettonian and Chaos armies, with allies plugged in which can represent the other, more exotic troops within those army types.
