Heya guys and gals. I'm Darkcloak, or DC for short. I just started wargaming this year. Started on 40k with the new starter set, split it with a buddy and I took the Chaos side, so there you have it. I am interested in getting more armies, mainly Eldar and Space Marines and also getting into some of the historical mini's like the ones from Perry. I am not new to the model hobby though, when I was a kid I built a ton of 1:24 scale cars. Me and my buddy used to get the nascar ones, put pins in the axles and play smash up derby. We were maybe 12, lol! I was never very good at painting the cars but I used to be a real whiz with a model knife.
All that was a long time ago and those models are long gone and I haven't much interest in building cars anymore. This summer my friend turned me onto 40k and it kind of rekindled my love of plastic and glue and multi-coloured fingers! So here I am, an old fart, who plays with kid toys, but I'll tell you what, it's fun as hell and I was looking for a new career path anyways! Work is what you make of it so, I'm going to apply myself towards becoming an outstanding painter and sculptor, as good as the stuff I see here on this webpage. Naturally any helpful advice and criticism is greatly appreciated! Hey who knows? Maybe one day I'll be the guy you can blame for the next Centurion! Lol
I look forward to learning from you all and can't wait till I have some cool stuff of my own to show off!
