Someone had posted a Dark Angels model that they had painted an iridescent green, that had that kind of oil in water rainbow hue to it. I remember that it was acryllic car paint, but cannot for the life of me find the paint or the original post.

I believe the post was from around mid to late 2011, maybe early 2012.

Can't help you with that in particular, but liquitex does make an iridescent medium which you might be able to use to get that effect with any paint you want.

I think they make a few other similar ones like pearlescent.
