I would give the Commisar a Power Maul over a sword (if he could take one.

Khorne because you just like them? If you are open to other Daemons, 10 pinkhorrors I think would be more formidable at the points value.

How many points is the detachment total?

If you need CC and want daemons bring daemonettes instead of bloodletters. Bloodletters are garbage.

If you like Khorne but do not care so much about Daemons...

Might I suggest a cheap Chaos lord with MoK, and a moderate sized blob of Cultists with MoK? They lord makes the cultists fearless and you will get quite a bit of attacks.

I only like Khorne daemons. The IG is 600pts and the daemons is 400pts.
