I bought Arsenal Packs for all factions and while I've only opened the Ten Thunders, it does seem fairly comprehensive. The reason I bought all the packs is for the situation when someone who only played 1st Ed wants to play a game with the new rules but only has old models that haven't been reissued.

If you've got a bunch of old models and want to play the latest edition, I'd recommend you grab a pack for your faction.

Well, they also have the generic upgrades that aren't master-specific.

They are might handy.

I do like that Wyrd set the rulebook up so that the cards are exactly reproduced in the book, but it would be a pain to do that for every model.

It would have been nice if they released a M2E small rules manual so I could have just picked it up and an arsenal pack and be all set to play, but the way they did it is fine.

So far I just have the Arcanist pack, but over time I'll probably pick them all up (except Goblins).

I've got the Ressie one.
They're far better than the old ones, I can put them into a transparent sleeve and mark off the wounds with OHP pen now.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

The fact that everything is on a single card (playing card size) instead of a fold-out is a big improvement, too. The old cards were one thing I really didn't like about M1E.

I had very little issue with the original cards, granted I laminated every card as I got it, so I never had too much issue with the size of the cards. I would probably do the same with the M2E cards if I had any.

But I do think that if you make it a size that has a card sleeve for it then you make it easier on people.

I was fine with laminating cards- my concern was the information overload: more than half the time, with new/potential players, at some point between "here are your models" and the bottom of the second turn, you could see their eyes kinda' glaze over as the sheer amount of information got to them. 1st edition Malifaux got very elitest very quickly, and was very difficult to start. 2nd edition has suffered from some homogeneity, but it's still a very different game that's one of the more complex ones out there and now it's actually approachable.
