LotR, custom Campaign, Just some brief notes as to how it all started.
This is our mini LotR Campaign and the idea came from years ago playing Hero Quest with my son and his friends. When we got into LotR my son loved the game but there was no Barbarian to go with the Dwarves, Elves and Wizards. So we built some in based around Uruk-Hai Berserker stats, which certainly seemed reasonable. Our rules are slightly modified from the Return of the King rules set, main one being the increase in Bow strength, we added +1 to all Bow & Spear.
Since this is a campaign we use things like reserves, (random & planned). A point system for character advancement, (kill 100 points of enemy and advance, (plus 5 points to stats)).
The setting is an area we called Leoness. The Rohan live in the southern section. The Dwarves dwell in the Northern Mountains, called the Grey Hills by the Rohan. The Elves in the Western wooded sector and there is a large city, Travian, where the High Elves rule. The Barbarians, which are seafaring people, spend much time at sea, the Caspian Sea, which is the Northern coast of Leoness. To the far south, beyond the plains is Minis Tiroth a large city of men.
The history has been that every half year, on the full moon, each race would send some representatives to the tattered Shrine of Hope. They would meet about trade talks and deal with the concerns of each. This, the second meeting of the year, is a most important one. Each has had issue and growing concern with a growing number of Orc raids.

The first games of the campaign we decide to play as an ambush type of situation. Each group would be in route to the meeting place and get attacked. The survivors of each of these 4 games would gather at the Shrine of Hope.

We wanted to keep the first games small so 125 points and only 1 character per army was used.
The groups are as follows:
Dwarves:
Captain Brom, 4 Dwarves with Ave & Shield and 2 Bow.
Rohan:
Captain Dinard, 3 Rohan Sword & Shield, 3 w/throwing spears, & 3 Bow.
Wood Elves:
Captain Taylorian, 2 w/Blades, 2 Spear & 3 Bow.
Barbarian, (4 characters, 45 pts each, 50 for Bowman):
Devista, Maulshaf, Vella, (female) & Lathorn, the Bowman.
I am including some pictures of these ambush battle as a proper Battle report was never done and not all pictures were good.
