Ambush at Shrine of Hope. Custom Campaign, LotR, Pictures.
NOTE: Side controlling the field after a battle gets back each of their losses if a 5 or 6 is rolled. Characters roll 1 die for each would, so could return wounded. Losers get back loses on a roll of 6 only.

Finally the survivors make it to the meeting at the Shrine of Hope.
4 Barbarians, Devista, Maulshaf, Vella & Lathorn.
5 Wood Elves: Wood Elf Capt. (Tavlorian), 2 Bow, 1 Spear & 1 w/ Elf Blade.
6 Rohan: Rohan Capt. (Dinard), 2 Bow, 1 Throwing Spear and 2 Sword & Shield.
4 Dwarves: Dwarf Captain, (Brom), 1 Dwarf Bow and 2 Axe & Shield.


First to arrive were the Barbarians, followed by the Wood Elves who lost three of their number. Next were the Men of Rohan who lost 4 men. Last to arrive were the Dwarves who lost 3 of their group.

The meeting begins and stories of concern, loss and fear spill forth. The trepidation of the growing Evil threat is shared by all. Each group encountered the enemy in rout to this place and each group needs to share this information with their people, and come up with a plan to drive the enemy from their lands.
After much discussion, just before dark, a Black arrow flies into a wall of the ruins. The groups have been followed, and Evil descends upon the Shrine. Each side takes up positions on the Rise.

The last battle was a crushing defeat for the good side, I may skip that battle report as it was quite short and terrible rolls for good and unbelievably good rolls for the evil side. A wounded Rohan Captain is all that remains of the force.

It is time for more map movement so we will see what battle comes up next.
