I started playing 40k in 2012 technically, but couldn't really fund the hobby and therefore when I did play games they were low points. With the release of the Farsight Enclaves I came back in full force after buying some of the new models and buying a lot of models from a friend. Anyways, this is the list I've been working on the past couple of days. 1750 is generally what everyone plays at my local game-shop and I kind of just pick over this list if I need to change anything.

Primary Detachment: Farsight Enclaves
1. HQ
- Commander Farsight with Honour Shas'Vre O'Vesa
470 pts
- Commander Darkstrider
100 pts
2. Elite
- XV104 Riptide with Heavy Burst Cannon, Twin-Linked Smart Missile System, Early Warning Override, Target Lock
190 pts
3. Troops
- 3 XV8 Crisis Suits with 2x Missile Pods
159 pts
- 3 XV8 Crisis Suits with Plasma Rifle and Fusion Blaster
159 pts
4. Heavy Support
- Sky Ray Missile Defense Gunship with Sensor Spines and Point Defense Targeting Array
130 pts
- XV88 Broadside with Twin-Linked Heavy Rail Rifle and Twin-Linked Smart Missile System
66 pts
- XV88 Broadside with Twin-Linked Heavy Rail Rifle and Twin-Linked Smart Missile System
66 pts

Allied Detachment:

1. HQ
- Commander with Command and Control Node, Multi-spectrum Sensor Suite, Neuroweb System Jammer, Onager Gauntlet, Puretide Engram Neurochip, XV-02 Crisis 'Iridium" Battlesuit, Drone Controller, Vectored Retro-thrusters, with 2 Marker Drones
204 pts
2. Troops
- 12 Fire Warriors
108 pts
- 6 Fire Warriors
54 pts
3. Fast Attack
- 4 Pathfinders
44 pts

Total: 1750/1750 pts

The general idea is as follows:

O'Vesa and his unit and the generic Commander and his unit join the generic Riptide and get all those crazy buffs; Target Lock on the generic Riptide so he can shoot at other units. My Plasma/Fusion Suits may stay in reserves if I need to wreck some vehicles or Termies. Darkstrider joins the big group of Fire Warriors and that unit either provides cover fire or holds objectives. The small group of Fire Warrior's is pretty much exclusively planted on objectives. Pathfinders and Sky Ray provide Markerlights for the rest of my team, although I've found Seeker Missiles very useful in my meta (lots of Space Marine chapters and horde armies) so it also accomplishes that. The Missile Pod Crisis Suits are meant to be mobile and multi-purpose; they can cover objectives, or semi-reliably pop vehicles, or be a great shoot-y unit. The Broadsides are pretty much for high priority targeting or vehicle popping. Farsight has been surprisingly flexible as well, having a unit that's pretty good in assault surprises people when they're against a mostly shoot-y army.

I've thought of changing some things, however. Between the Sky Ray and Darkstrider, I feel like I get a pretty good amount of Markerlight considering I have an entire unit that re-rolls hits, so I thought of cutting the Pathfinders. I'd also like to replace the small group of Fire Warrior's once I get another three Crisis Suits, but I can't decide if those should be double Missile Pod or Plasma/ Fusion. Also, I have very little anti-air. My best chance at the moment appears to be light them up with Markerlight or rely on weight of fire from my HBC Riptide (worked in a game vs Dark Angels today.)

So yeah, that's my list, I know it's pretty close to the norm but that's how you learn. Any advice or criticisms would be greatly appreciated.
