The Farsight death ball would drop in where they could do the most damage, having the ability to target multiple units at once with a variety of weapons. The dual flamer suit will not fire to give them re-rolls of their to hit rolls and so they may ignore cover. The riptides can handing deep strikers and fliers effectively with the help of their intercept and optional skyfire. The broadsides are on heavy/light armor duty but can aid in troops destruction with their SMS. The firewarriors would stay well out of sight as long as they could and the Kroot can outflank. Thoughts?
I really wanted an army of mobile suits, so to speak, and I like the overall feel the army would have. I know it's not a large amount of targets, but they all seem pretty durable and can put out a crazy amount of firepower.

I'm confused....the entry says that any bodyguard can take up to two drones from the drones list. I don't see where it says they can't take missile drones. (checked the errata and saw the change.)
I read through the errata and seeing that I can equip the same weapon but not just a twin-linked one made a big difference in how I can equip, so now I have specialized each suit.
I've seen many lists play effectively with minimal troops
I wasn't really asking if it would work for the way you like to play, just would this be viable as a fun list. I don't expect to win tournaments with it, but I do want to play a somewhat themed force that can still hold its own.

Well, its a weaker Farsight Bomb than the normal Farsight/Shadowsun/(Tigerius) Bomb that is running around combined with Triptide. That is a huge amount of points stuck into those two things.
You have no support element for the Riptides, their damage output will be relatively low compared to Suppored Riptides.
IMO, you are much better off running a Farsight Enclave army, that way you will get Crisis Squads as troops and can take cheap solo suit squads instead of the abysmally weak troop selections you currently have. Also, your HBC Riptide could then take the Earth Caste Pilot Array. I'd drop a unit of Broadsides to make this happen. You could still Ally Tau for a BuffCommander for the Sig Systems or take a couple of the "Eight" and attatch them and farsight to a Troop Suits Squad. Alternatively, just ally Farsight Enclave for Scoring Suits, ECPA, and another HQ.
IMO, its a pretty powerful list, but will fold to many competitive lists and power builds. I would play against it, though there is enough Tau and Riptide hate going around that many others wouldn't or will heavily complain.

I always mix weapons on my crisis suits and I know many tau players who do
It makes them more adaptive and a armour heavy army can't focus in killing the fusion blaster ones because they will all have them
And I would just run it as a farsight enclave list then you could drop the ineffective troops

I recommend putting the Vectored Retro-Thrusters on one of your suits in the Farsight bomb. You can use Farsights Initiative in case you get stuck in combat, and it doesn't require many points.
I agree with Zagman though, you're lack of markerlights is greatly reducing the damage output of your army.
Also, are there enough fliers in your meta to warrant velocity tracker on all three Riptides? While useful, they to take up a lot of points.
Secondly, consider giving your Kroot a hound per squad, it gives you more dependability on where they come on the board.
And lastly, many players out there have calculated the "Mathammer" and discovered that a HYMP Broadside causes more wounds on average than the HRR variant. You already have two Str 8, AP2 large blasts with your Riptides, do you really need more Str 8 single shots? Each model has the ability to throw out 8 shots at it's target, I think you'll have more success at killing MCs and light vehicles with the HYMP over the HRR.
