So, having just started Dark Eldar, I find that I'd like to have more Splinter Cannons in my squads of Trueborn than I have access to. Is there any cheap and dirty way to get them? Good substitutes from third parties? Boxes that come with extras that you are unlikely to use? An easy way to convert them that I haven't thought of?
Any advice at all?
Now that I think of it, does anyone know of any good third party manufacturers for 'Not Dark Eldar'?

I think your best bet is e-bay or any other bits vendor

Like Badkamer said, bitz sites or ebay are your best bet. Or maybe asking someone at your local gaming store for a bitz swap. Sorry I don't know any third party companies for Dark Eldar. Good luck!

I believe only a single squad of true born is only allowed of having 2 splinter cannons, or 1 blaster/1darklance, double check your codex for specialty weapons available. As for the spare parts go to your local gaming shop a lot of times they will provide you the bitz or go to ebay and look for bitz, otherwise if your creative look at splinter cannon pictures and chop up some pistols and rifles and make the cannon. You could make some changes and be creative.

Every Trueborn can have a Splinter Rifle/Carbine, up to 4 can carry Blaster/Shredder, and upto can have Splinter Cannons/Darklance.

Interesting progress on this front.
In the current boxes, you get one Splinter Cannon per ten warriors. From what the sprues look like, it seems in the last edition of plastic kits, you got one Splinter Cannon per four warriors. And ebay is CRAWLING with these older sprues.
