Subject: A potential new player - looking at Menoth

Hi everyone. I've been a 40k player since 4th edition, and I'm thinking of trying out some Menoth as there's a local gamer unloading a few models for what I think is a good price. To give some background, I play Tyranids, and love the intricate unit interactions that modify stats, abilities, survivability, and so on. I really enjoy a force that uses multipliers and is relatively sturdy. Given that I know essentially nothing about Warmachine, do you think that this army will be compatible with my playstyle? I have only played one game, as Circle, and it was pretty fun though the durability was ...lacking, but mobility was nice.
The Menoth list includes: Feora, the High Reclaimer, Kreoss, Severius, and Vindictus, Redeemer, Repenter, Revenger, Crusader, Vanquisher, The Scourge of Heresy, Castigator, Exemplar Bastions and Cinerators, and Choir and Exemplar Errants. as well as solos: Vassal Mechanic, Order of the Fist, The Tear of Vengeance.
What do you guys think? A good value? Should I jump on it? Thanks!

Looks like a good group of what people consider good choices in Menoth. STandbys not included in the list are Flameguard and Zealots, maybe look at picking up a vassal of Menoth.

We can't say its a good value without a price
and Yes, Menoth is a tough support based army, where they have good base survivability but need to work together to get outstanding dps

Synergy is important in all warmachine/hordes army. Much more so than in 40K, though I used to play Elder and Templar. However, Menoth is one of the most synergistic armies. You have a lot of abilities that when used together make their stuff go from OK to great. And protecting the key pieces is important.
Menoth is one of the more survivable factions. They have ways to make themselves live longer by being difficult to target and have ways to heal/reincarnate. And they have ways that if things do die it can help power up other parts of the army as well.
Circle is pretty much the exact opposite of that. They tend to hit hard and die fast. But they are one of the fastest factions. Menoth tends to be on the slower end.

Thanks for the information, sounds like they might work well. Is 100 dollars an acceptably low price for a lot like this? There's some conversion work, apparently.
