I've ordered another Starter Set, so I now have:

2 X-WIngs and 1 A-Wing

4 TIE fighters and 1 TIE Bomber

I don't have my info with me as I'm at work, but is this a feasible number of ships to have two fair squadrons whilst I'm getting to grips with the game system?

I'm hoping to build two decent sized forces (obe ship for each faction each month) so going pro Imperial or Rebel isn't a major issue. Cheese doesn't concern me either, it's about having as much fun as possible.

From what you own (starter set only?), I whipped up this on my coffee break.

Rebel scum:

- Luke "Orphan Slayer" Skywalker with Marksmanship, R2D2 and Shield Upgrade (39)
- Biggs "Traitor Swine" Darklighter with R2F2 and Stealth Device (31)
- Green Squadron "The Kitten Killers" with Assault Missiles, Push the Limit and Stealth Device. (30) [100/100]

Just and Benevolent Empire:

- Major Rhymer with 2 x Cluster Missiles and Push the Limit (37)
- Mauler Mithel with Swarm Tactics (19)
- Night Beast (15)
- Dark Curse (16)
- Academy scrub (12) [99/100]

I have one starter, with an A-Wing and TIE Bomber expansion and another starter set ordered and en route.

Your lists seem to have all of that covered!

I'm getting a mate in to X-Wing, and I think I'll have a better chance if we have a 'proper' game or two rather than just messing around with a starter set.

Don't thank me yet, it turns out you don't have the Modification cards (Stealth, Shield, Engine. Only available in the Falcon and Slave), unless your not above some internet printing shenanigans .

when trying to get friends and family into the game it can be a struggle for them to make a list for themselves, So its better just to di it for them but let them pick the ships they like/ characters they know (Vader and Skywalker come to mind)

Good point, Guitarquero. It's why my next purchases will be the MF and S-1. Those ships just bring out the kid in everyone!

I was messing about last night and found a list building site. I went with a fully kitted out Luke for the Imperials, as almost everyone I know would instantly opt to be Luke in an X-wing! No love for The Glorious Empire in my circle of friends, sadly. But I managed to get two 90pt lists, so that was nice.

Can't wait for my second starter set to arrive! I want to play this weekend!
