I love metal and rock and Id love to add a unit of Noise Marines to my growing CSM army, purely because they look and sound, heh, badass.

However I really dislike Slaanesh as whole, and my armies fluff is partially built around this hatred of Slaanesh. Is their any fluffy way I could explain having a group of non Slaanesh noise marines playing the awesome sound of METAL in my army?

Which god do you run? If Khorne you could say they were the only survivors of their slaanesh warband when it was attacked by your khorne lads. They were about to be executed in the name of khorne when they suddenly began to play REALLY super heavy meaty dubstep beats that caught the ear of the Bloodthirster/Chaos Lord in charge. Form that day forward they were inducted into the warband and now wear blood red armor covered in skulls, worship khorne and play their weird music. Sorted!

If you can, find the old metal models. A friend of mine has 3 metal Noise Marines with Blastmasters, and the Blastmasters happen to look like guitars; easy to represent as metal. And like welshhoppo said... Gorgoroth is the best band to suit them.

Back in 2nd Edition, Noise Marines had the side effect of exploding psykers' heads whenever they used a power within 24" of them. The one exception to the "exploding psyker head" effect were the Great Unclean Ones, who would "...cheerfully hum along with the tune."

So maybe your Noise Marines are a Nurgle garage band?
