This is my seventh list to fight my brother's Tau. Enjoy.

HQ- CCS with Creed, 3x plasma guns, regimental standard, Master of Ordnance and Astropath = 260

Troops- Infantry Platoon A
PCS with 2x plasmaguns, lascannon and bolt pistol = 82
Infantry Squad with autocannon = 60

PCS with Al'rahem, 3x meltaguns, heavy flamer and Chimera = 205
Infantry Squad with flamer and Chimera = 110

Fast Attack- 2x Vendetta Gunships (squadroned) = 260

Heavy Support- Leman Russ Executioner with plasma cannon sponsons and lascannon = 245
Ordnance Battery with 3x Basilisks = 375

Inquisitorial Detachment
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor with carapace armour, plasma pistol, Pysker ML1, Ulumeanthi Plasma Syphon and servo skull = 78

Total Cost= 2000 points

Creed gives Outflank to the Executioner and Al'rahem Outflanks his platoon. Meanwhile, Creed, the Inquisitor and remaining IG hide in cover, with the Basiliks and MoO firing at a position near the servo skull. Priority kills are the Pathfinders and any long ranged Tau units. My reserves come on early thanks to the Astropath, Al'rahem, his men and the Leman Russ get close to the Tau and cause havoc, whilst the Vendettas take care of any Flyers or AA units. He never takes any Interceptor wargear, so my reserves or typically safe.
Thoughts?

Both your pcs squads should have 4 Flamers as they have sucky BS. Stick the one from the first platoon in a vendetta and deepstrike em near some juicy fw/kroot/pathfinders and watch em go crazy.

Yeah, can do, but I want Al'rahem's squad with meltas, just to be sure.

I noticed you do not have a defense line. I would suggest one or the taus weapons will really kill your IG faster.

Also I would not squadron the vendettas. Keep them separate so they can fire at different targets.

Same hoes for the basilisks. Since you have a russ you only have 2 heavy slots left. Have 1 squad of 1 and another squad of 2.

These tips are good for 2 reasons. 1 it allows you to fire at more targets. And 2, it now makes your opponent have more units to fire at instead of all his stuff firing at only 1 of your units.

I would suggest finding the points to make those basilisks maniticores. While I love the basilisk model, the manticore is a great for sniping out targets and pepping enemy tanks that it drifts overs. The chance of higher volume is worth the points IMO

Perhaps make the points up by dropping the heavy weapons on your guardsmen. They should be on the move, and having the heavy weapons firing at snap shot wont do you much good.

I would echo the need for a defense line. While the current meta has a lot that ignores cover, it will help against ~60%+ of the enemies fire power. Which is worth the small price of an ADF.

I won't need an Aegis Line, as we have both agreed to play on a board with a Wall of Martyr's Defence Line each. I want to keep Platoon A and my CCS in this defence line, out of his pulse rifle's range. The Manticores sound alright, but I can't find anywhere to make up those points. Also, I'm not a fan of the limited ammo rule, and they are only AP 4. I've taken Basiliks because they are cheaper and can kill off Crisis suits much easier. I still need some selling on the Manticore part.

Any other tips or advice?
