So I've been seeing a few posts over in tactics about Hellhound's and Medusa's and I felt Inspired to whip up a mech list using both. I've also been wanting to add in a Cotaez detachment since the Inquisition Dex came out to get some cheep Henchmen Squads in. What does everyone think?

The best way you have coteaz is sat at the back with 3 plasma cannon servitors on your home objective ap2ing all sorts plus nailing deepstrikers/podder/out flankers with free ap2 blasts. Also taking hellhounds for anti infantry with a multi melta on doesn't make sense, either take the melta hounds with multi melta hull or put heavy Flamers on your hell hounds.

Why would you put a heavy flamer on the hull?? Only use you get out of that is by driving within melta and assault range. The heavy bolter will rarely do much to contribute. The mm actually can insta kill some units and if all your opponents units are in transports and nothing can pop the ones closest to the hell hound the. The MM isn't a bad choice. Also you can fire your MM at vehicles and if enemy troops are wrapped around or hiding behind the vehicle then you could use the flamer to hit the vehicle but angle it off and hit the troops around it.

All of this is why I've gone with MM over HF. When the Chimeras get close enough I'll hit em with Hull HF's. Generally the Hellhound is an Alpha Strike Support weapon. Great for killing off Xeno's.
