So I'm only just beginning as a WH40k player but I've decided I wanted to play a Nurgled-themed army. So I've been playing some games using bases as proxies and this is what I've come up with;
Chaos Lord (Attaches to the bike squad)
-Mark of Nurgle
-Sigil of corruption
-Chaos Bike
-Lightning Claw
-Burning Brand of Skalathrax
-Blight Grenades
170p
5 Chaos Bikers
-2 Plasma Guns
-5 Mark of Nurgle
-Power Sword on Champion
185p
5 Plague Marines
-Rhino
-Veteran of The Long War for the champion
156p
5 Plague Marines
-Rhino
-Veteran of The Long War for the champion
156p
5 Plague Marines
-Rhino
-Veteran of The Long War for the champion
156p
Heldrake with baleflamer
170p
Total 998/1000p
Basically the three plague marine troops capture objectives while the heldrake and lord W/ bikers runs around being annoying, harrasing and distracting.
Does anyone have any criticism/feedback/tips?

If you throw a power fist on the champ along with that LC that would be cool, give him an extra attack
any anti-MEQ AV13/14 vehicles will crush this army. Maybe take meltas on the bikers and come up with a different HQ?

Okay, but is that really worth dropping BBoS for? It felt so strong when I tested it. You think I should take meltas before plasmas on the bikers?
How about only having 2 groups of plague marines, but making them squads of 7 with 2 plasmas in each squad?

I think you should drop a squad of plague marines. Take a unit of oblits with mon and any leftover points bump up numbers in your remaining marines. That way you have long range anti av13/14 and also you can deepstrike melta with the oblits.

I agree with The obits and MoN. I would also strongly consider veterans for any oblit squad of two or more. The +1 leadership will keep them from breaking so easily. Consider not deep striking when you are in the short table deployment (Dawn of War). The multi-melta range along with lascannons should be enough to cover most of the board.
They can provide the AV punch that you need at this point level.

Looks good, but Veterans of the Long War is an upgrade that is bought for whole units (like grenades or chaos marks), not just the champion.
Mass plague marines, bikes and a drake should wreck face at this points level, but I agree a couple of oblits in place of a pm squad would be handy.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Okay, but should I prioritize obliterators over plague marines and go;
Chaos Lord (Attaches to the bike squad)
-Mark of Nurgle
-Sigil of corruption
-Chaos Bike
-Lightning Claw
-Burning Brand of Skalathrax
165p
3 Chaos Bikers
-2 Melta
-3 Mark of Nurgle
108p
5 Plague Marines
-Rhino
-Veterans of The Long War (Mostly put this here because I had 10 points left and nowhere to spend them)
160p
5 Plague Marines
-Rhino
-Veterans of The Long War (Mostly put this here because I had 10 points left and nowhere to spend them)
160p
Heldrake with baleflamer
170p
3 Obliterators
-MoN
-Veterans of The Long War
237
Total 1000/1000p
Or should I try to fill out the plague marines squads and only go with 2 obliterators? I'm afraid of my squads dying to easily and not being able to take objectives.

Instead of votlw you should be putting special weps in your pm squads. Would go 2 oblits and have 2 plasma in each squad And pump their numbers up. I would also consider pf/lc combo on lord.
