We are on month two of an escalation league (750 pts.) and I'm trying to come up with a final list. At this points level there are a couple of adjustments to consider:

1) No flyers (until 1250 pts)
2) FOC requirements dictate 1 HQ and 1 troops choice are mandatory.
3) The table is 4 x 4 (6 x 4 at 1000 pts.)

I am considering a couple lists. We have around 16 players participating, so I need an all comers list, but I'm most worried about our two tau players. I know one will be fielding a riptide and that is giving me fits.

Here are the two lists I'm considering:

List 1:

HQ: Tervigon 185 pts
Toxin Sacs + extra power

HQ: Tervigon 175 pts
+ extra power

Troops: Tervigon 175 pts
+ extra power

Troops: 10 Termagant Brood, 50 pts

Elite: 7 Ymgarl Genestealer Brood, 161 pts

The idea is obviously to saturate the board in disposable gants and overwhelm to opponents.

List 2:

HQ: 1 Hive Tyrant, 225 pts
TL Devourer w/Brainleech Worms x2
Old Adversary

: 1 Tyrant Guard, 60 pts

HQ: T1 Tyranid Prime, 105 pts
Lash Whip & Bonesword
Regeneration

Troops: 16 Termagant Brood, 80 pts

Troops: 16 Termagant Brood, 80 pts

Troops: 10 Termagant Brood, 50 pts

Elite: 3 Hive Guard Brood, 150 pts

Total: 750

Mini-deathstar. Keep everything in the preferred enemy bubble.

List 3:

HQ: 1 Tervigon, 185 pts
Toxin Sacs + Extra power

HQ: 1 Tervigon, 175 pts
+ Extra power

Troops: 10 Termagant Brood, 50 pts

Heavy Support: 1 Mawloc, 170 pts

Heavy Support: 1 Mawloc, 170 pts

Total Cost: 750

4 T6, 6W monsterous creatures. 2 Mawlocs can reach out and touch some gun lines.

Please leave your preference and justification. Also, If you have a good idea for a list, please feel free.

I really don't see the value of a foot tyrant, with no AS, nor guard. Twin devs are great on winged tyrants, but on a walking tyrant? In my op I mentioned that I expect gun-lines and am particularly worried about tau (mobile, shooty). I have to disagree, I don't think a foot tyrant is a good choice.

You could take another Tervigon as Hq instead and spawn even more, might be pritty boring to play but strong.

Or take a prime and 2 Biovores/Hiveguard.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the three tervigon list. I don't find tervigons boring at all! They are one of the most unique units in the game and I always enjoy what they bring to the table.

ON Amrous list drop the HG and give the tyrant wings. Use the extra 40 poitns for onslaughts, TS and AG on the Trevi.

Give that buddy a 2+ then and run at the enemy full force...I'd even drop the guns on him and just go full murderface on those gunlines.

And it's only a 4x4?

If this guy gets the fleet biomancy power he would own the board.
