I havent seen the new Stronghold Assault Book yet so may find something nicer in there for my Guard to hide behind
I also havent got the Inquisition Codex so that may be an option

EDIT- Imperial Guard are being taken as the Primary Detachment due to cheap Troop opttions, I also find having the option of large squads or multiple squads is really beneficial

EDIT 2- Also they work well with the Marines and Tau

I picked up Stronghold Assault today, the Defence line can be extended to cover your entire Guard force.

Or look at some of the wall of Martyrs kits for some really nasty upgrades VOID SHIELDS

May need a complete rewrite, max out the guard flames and take the promethium fuel lines fortification

You need an inquisitor. MUST HAVE

Imperial Space Tau Guard Marines of the Inquisition......
