Hi guys. Drawn up a list which has the O'vesa star but also a small farsight bomb for 1500pt games, competitive ones.
Basic premise is for buff commander and O'vesa to join ion riptide and do their thing. Farsight joins 3 man suit squad and deepstrikes for a nice alpha strike. Rest of the suits and the skyrays prowl my backfield/mid table providing support (markerlights) and anti flyer batteries. All criticism welcome. I want to make it as effective as possible at this points level as most of the tournies around here are 1500.

Ok, you've got the Ovesastar all mixed up. Unless you are splitting off to contest or assault multiple units in a desperate situation, Farsight shouldn't be separated from the star, you need his I5.

Also, you need a third riptide with HBC/SMS, VT and TL to swap out with the IA tide (which you also need TL on; you paid for it I assume you forgot to mention it). One of the extra riptides needs te talisman. The psychic defense is imperative since the unit isn't fearless.

Vectored retro thrusters are indispensable for the star. Give it to the buffmander. You NEED hit and run (at Farsight's I5) Fleet is nice too.

All your suit teams should be single Man save the obligatory full team. Go missile pods on all of them. They should not be killing things unless they are JSJing back behind LOS, always flirting with their full range. You need them alive! The rest of the list kills.

As for te allied troops, Kroot > Firewarriors.

I get what your saying 100% but at 1500 I have to kinda run a poor mans star vrt I forgot so they will defo be going on the buff commander. Yes I did pay for target lock on riptide just forgot to list it. What would you suggest dropping for the talisman and extra riptide without making the list too small?

I gave the Buffmander stims because the essentials left me with 16 points. If you can come up with a better use fair enough, I'm tired lol. But that's what I'd run at 1500.

Looks a lot better thank you, the only problem is kroot are 6 pts each so they would be 60 so I need to shave 9 points, possibly the stims on the commander?

You're right, I included the cost for the ECPA which I normally throw on but O'Vesa already has it. I don't have my codex in front of me....are you POSITIVE Kroot aren't 5 per?

Yeah Kroot are 6, 7 with the sniper rounds you probably want on them.

Yeah it's 6 man. I've got the list as you have it apart from the stims on commander, it comes to 1466, any suggestions for the last 34 points?
