How powerful would you say Lorgar was as a psyker? If you've read Betrayer you'll have seen him "snatching Thunderhawk's out of the air" with psychic might. The general picture that we're given by the books is that he's one heck of a psyker. In Aurelian even Magnus gets rebuffed when he attempts to fish around Lorgar's mind.

My own opinion is that he's at least a Beta-level psyker. What do you think?

"How many people here have telekenetic powers raise my hand" - The Emperor, The council of Nikae

"Never raise your hand to your children, it leaves your midsection unprotected" - The Emperor

"My father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic" - Kharn

Not to sure. I read that part of Betrayer this afternoon. Looks like he was already using the runic powers of chaos there if you read further. Not sure if that was his "own" power.
Spoiler:
He was digging Angron out while fending off enemys for at least 30 minutes there to.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

In First Heretic it's said several times that of the Primarchs, only Magnus had more psionic potential then Lorgar. So Lorgar was obviously very powerful, but his weakness is that he was almost totally untrained in psychic arts, and his power was prone to burst out of him in a rather uncontrolled fashion.

The second mightiest psyker of the Primarchs, though not near the caliber of Magnus by his own admission.

He is capable of deflecting Plasma Blast Guns with his Kine Shields, and telekinetically tossing boulders with enough force to destroy Warhound Titans. Telepathically he can affect Magnus from the other side of the galaxy. His Daemonology prowess is particularly impressive, as he is capable of knocking out Daemon Angron. He is also versed in other forms of sorcery. He knows Enuncia for example.

Beta at the bare minimum. Maybe Alpha. Possibly even Alpha Plus.
