Im Very new to warmachine and have been reading my khador book at nauseam. This list seems to be pretty solid. Have at it.

Unfortunately he is not part butcher's theme.

Biggest problem you have, is that your army is extremely slow. Scenarios will be your enemy. You are going to have to run the Winterguard into zones or near objectives at all costs. Hang one back so you can throw iron flesh on them. Let it drop next round and repeat. Meanwhile, the rest of your army is doing whatever they can to catch up.

My best suggestion for you Zach: do not start playing this gameusing tier lists. The caster tier lists are almost all scew lists that have tons of hard counters (a hard counter being otherlists that simply counter yours with little input from the player). Some tier lists can work fairly well but they are entirely fluff based and are not indended to be competitive, although a small number of them can be. Look at eButcher's tier. If you take at least 3 units of doom reavers then they only cost 5 pts per squad and you get unlimited escorts for them which helps with their few weaknesses. However, beyond reavers, you don't have many options. You can take Fenris, Yuri (another axe wielding maniac like the butcher) man hunters (more axe wielding maniacs!!! Although more sane than the butcher). That tier can kinda work because doom reavers massacre legions of infantry but they hit harder than MOWs so they can damage jacks fairly easily. They are also immune to spells. They get countered by heavy ranged armies but the escorts grant tough which helps mitigate their losses somewhat. For a 25 pt butcher tier, I usually take:

That list usually does pretty well.
