Hey guys, working on a black Templar list in the 750 point range. Please give any comments and criticisms as I could use any you have at all. Thanks a lot

HQ: 135
Captain with artificer armour and a relic blade


Troops: 403

Crusader Squad (7 initiates) 1 flamer, 1 power sword and the rest with bolt pistols and chain-swords. (2 neophytes) both with bolt pistols and chain-swords (the captain is with this squad). Rhino as transport with a storm bolter upgrade

Crusader Squad (5 initiates) 1 plasma gun, 1 missile launcher, and the rest with bolt guns.

Crusader Squad (5 initiates) 1 melta gun. (1 neophyte). With a drop pod


Elites: 210

Assault Terminator squad (5 terminators) 2 with thunder hammers and storm shields and the rest with lightening claws.


The basic idea is to have the missile launcher crusader squad sit back at an objective at the beginning and hold it while my close combat crusader squad goes in and takes objectives. The terminator squad will come in on reserve and take out any pesky units while the drop pod crusader squad will hopefully drop on an objective and take it/fight for it or something along those lines. Just not sure if I should make the drop pod crusader squad shooty, close combat or a combination. let me know what you guys think, thanks a ton.

have you considered having the terminators having x2 assault cannons and storm bolters? i mean at 750 you may not need the TH/SS and lightning claws

I believe only one AC is allowed for five Termies.

The list seems to lack AT. One Meltagun isn't enough and you can't count on Termies since most tanks can out-maniveur them.

Instead of Plasma Gun and ML you could have a Lascannon in the smaller squad?
