So I finally decided to buy a real army transporter as a Christmas gift for myself (because why not). I ordered a Battlefoam Pack Go with the standard foam load-out about 5 weeks ago and so far my order hasn't even been shipped. I checked online and it is still "awaiting fulfillment". I sent a message to the company a couple days ago pretty much asking "hey, what's taking so long?" but haven't gotten a response.

Has anybody else had anything like this happen? I mean the website says expect 3-4 weeks for standard foam stuff, but it's been 5-6 now and I haven't heard anything from them at all. Just kind of curious what I should be doing at this point. I guess they might be backed up from Christmas orders or something? I haven't ever read any reviews on them that makes it sound like they routinely take ages to get product to you.

I ordered a 1520 during their Black Friday sale, and it's already on the way to me (been sitting in Fort Worth for a couple days thanks to that damn ice storm, wonder if I can just drive to the UPS facility and pick it up myself?). Mine only had pluck foam in it, what kind of foam did you go for? I suspect if it wasn't pluck foam, it might take longer due to the customization. But, yes, you've been waiting a bit longer than you should have, I think, especially if you ordered before the Black Friday sales.

Blame it on their Black Friday sale. That snags things up and seems to take them a while to work through the large quantity of orders. You will likely get your foam sometime in the next month or two. I believe some people last year had to wait into February to get their Black Friday orders, but those may have contained custom foam load outs. I realize you didn't order on Black Friday, but your order may have gotten snarled in the queue from those additional sales.

There is no real good reason why their customer service rep hasn't returned your e-mail, so I'd keep bugging them. Have you tried calling?

I've never gotten a response from their customer service email, so I wouldn't hold your breath on that. Your best bet is to call...

Thanks for giving some background information. I just ordered a standard foam loadout. Not pluck foam but not a custom cut pattern either. I guess a black friday sale could make life difficult for someone like them who seem to specialize in a low volume high customization type of service.

At any rate I will certainly give them a call. if anything particularly interesting comes out of it I'll let you all know.

Yeah, calling is a good idea... but personally I would not order Battlefoam around the holidays, their track record is pretty terrible for delivering anything close to on-time during this time of year.

I would only ever buy battlefoam from a retailer or from them at a convention. I own 3 cases, one I bought a store and two I bought through them, one with custom foam and one with a standard loadout. They were arrived 10 weeks after I ordered them, 2 weeks beyond what custom foam is and 6 weeks beyond standard foam. I never heard a reply from their customer service rep. Good product, gak cs.

I called them up. The customer service guy was really nice and checked up my order.

He pretty much flat out said "I have no idea why this hasn't shipped, it should have gone out in 2 weeks". So apparently he'll do some kind of magic to expedite the order. Hopefully that will work out and I should get it next week.

No big deal if it works out.

Pretty standard response. It seems to be all over the place. When I ordered a Warmachine bag (standard loadout, no custom) 3-4 years ago it took something like 6 weeks (and contacting them) to get to me. The Pack GO with custom cuts I ordered last year or the year before I got in 3 weeks.

The Pack GO is a nice back, once it arrives.

As others have said, they get horribly backlogged this time of year. I've had an order in for about the same time-frame, maybe a little longer, albeit with a custom cut tray included, and am a bit annoyed myself. I can't decide if I want to try to get another tray added to the order or just wait until their next sale.

I have 2 PACK AIR bags, both with Custom Foam load outs and trays; I ordered one just after Christmas one year and it took 2.5 months to process and be delivered. Another I ordered in early August and it took 6 days. The Holidays are not the time to order from a small company like Battlefoam no matter how big they may seem in a niche market.

Just thought I'd mention the bag shipped the Monday after I called (I think that was a Saturday?) and it got delivered within a couple days.

So no ill will against the company at all. Will find out how the bag itself looks when I open it up around christmas time.

Good to hear about keeping on top of them. I may end up ordering a custom load out PACK 720 or 1520 late next year, depending on how much I decide I really want to carry around my Robotech stuff, which is going to be a big pile of 150-200+ figures when all is said and done.

I ordered a custom 1520XL through my local store (they were ordering foam for themselves and offered to add it to their so I wouldnt pay shipping costs) and still haven't received anything like 2 months later, store says they have no clue why nothing has shipped/come in yet.

I ordered on Black Friday. There was probably 7 days of back and forth emails to get the order correct (apparently the foam I ordered wouldn't fit in the bag), and I have 3 custom trays. I was told by the customer rep over the phone that they had 1000+ orders on Black Friday alone, and it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get my stuff to me.

It's not a huge deal for me personally, since I was ordering a bag for my Tyranid army, and the new codex isn't out till January. I'd say the wait was worth it to save $75.

A friend and I did an order about 5 weeks before Lock'n'Load- in part to assist with transporting stuff from Aus to the US. He was away for two weeks and he beat the order back to Aus by a day.
