With this Tau list I wanted to do two things: Not be O'VesaStar (lol), and be prepared for high AV vehicles because it seems my lgs has a thing for Ghost Arks and Land Raiders. Also I heard Super Heavy was introduced to regular 40k? If someone could help clear that up I'd appreciate it!

HQ:
Commander w/ Iridium Armor, PEN Chip. 125 points.
Elite:
Riptide w/ IA, TL SMS, EWO. 190 points.

Heavy Support:
Sky Ray Missile Defense Gunship w/ TL SMS, BSF. 116 points.
Hammerhead Gunship w/ Longstrike, TL SMS, Railgun with submunitions, DP, BSF. 191 points.
3 XV88 Broadside Team w/ TL HYMP, TL SMS and 6 Missile Drones. 267 points.

1421/1500 points.

I have some wiggle room because I'm not quite sure what to bring. I don't have an end all anti-air, but I do have the Sky Ray to improve BS of units firing on a flier. I could give my Commander the ignore cover signature system as well as drone controller and have him buddy around with my Broadsides, or give him the typical buffmander loadout and have him buddy up with one of my Riptides but in a list like this where I can't death star as well that feels wasteful. I feel like a Railhead is a great meta-call for the high AV armies and if it's true Super Heavy is now legal I think it's even better. I may give my Riptides Fusion Blaster's as another concession for high AV.

At 1500 the skyrays fine for fliers, you won't need anything else - if you wanted to you could give your broadsides velocity trackers...
I'd take an ADL - never leave home without one as a tau player
Otherwise looks ok
Also, who does the commander go with?

Also might want to make it 2 squads of 9 warriors, better for moral issues

I've actually never used an ADL before, but they've always been recommended to me. I may proxy one or borrow one and see how I like it. : ) and I think I will split the Fire Warriors like that, actually. The Commander I'm not sure, I may just give him his own set of weaponry instead of buffing any groups. I feel like the Broadside team have themselves covered with all the TL they have and sheer weight of fire, and attaching a Commander to a single Riptide feels like too steep of an investment for too little payoff.
