Okay I want to play Grey Knights and have been fiddling around with a few lists and this is the one that I think appeases me the most. It looks extremely boring on paper but I think it'll be fun to play; pretty much goin' all in on Paladins. I want as much comments/criticism (constructive please) and questions thrown at me as you can. Here it is:

HQ:
Lord Kaldor Draigo

Elites(Troops):
10x Paladins
4x Master Crafted Psycannons
1x Brotherhood Banner (On a Psycannon)
3x Nemesis Force Halberds (With Psycannons)
4x Master Crafted Force Halberds (Without Psycannons)
2x Master Crafted Nemesis Daemon Hammers (1 of these guys has Master Crafted ranged as well [extra 5 points])

7x Paladins
2x Master Crafted Psycannons (1 of these guys has Master Crafted Nemesis Weapons too)
1x Brotherhood Banner (On a Psycannon)
6x Nemesis Force Swords (All Master Crafted)

I would like to split the large squad of Paladins into 2 combat squads with 2 Psycannons in each with the banner in one of them. I am not sure which squad Draigo should join or whether or not I should deep strike most of my army or just the Draigo squad. What do you guys think?

-----

So there it is. Will it just straight up get stomped or does it have the potential to win some games? Where are my weaknesses and what can I do to improve on them? Thanks!

ViPER

Did you get the apothecary upgrade for the paladins? Its worth the cost as there is nothing quite like having feel no pain on terminators, especially ones with two wounds each

I didnt think it was worth it for 1500 points. What would you trim and would you put the apothecary in both squads? Also what should I do as far as deep striking?

I wouldn't take two but if your deepstriking then put it with that squad. Also if your deepstriking I would drop one of the brotherhood banners and one mastercrafted upgrade and get a standard inquisitor and at least one servo skull which lets you scatter with just one d6 if your within 12 inches. I take it 1500 is your limit? Its just that I would add an adl with quad and a vindicare so that you can glance tanks to death

I would like to stick with just 1500 on this army for now. I take itI should stick the Apothecary into the squad with Draigo in it?

Good idea it would make that unit a beast. I would definitely suggest find 34 points for the inquisitor and 3 servo skulls since they also prevent infilitrators and scouts and with the low model count you have you could get hammered. It will be a fun list to play but your going to have a tough time against any decent gunlines (ie those pesky Tau) but outnumbered and outgunned plays to the Grey Knight fluff beautifully

I took out both banners and some master crafts for the inquisitor and 3 skulls. I think I may go for 1750 or something though because I really like banners/Apothecary

If I added an Apothecary to each unit and added a banner to each unit and dropped the 2nd unit down to 4 paladins (+ the Apoth.) and dropped all Master Crafted except from the guys with psycannons, it's be 1499 points. Is doing all that worth it?

seriously, could be fun but any list i field would munch this list, one vindicator shell and boom half the squad dead, powerfists and melt guns will kill you, both of which i take lots of, plus you cant wound allocate any more... i think that was the only good thing about paladin lists in 5th.

i was sure the best thing about grey knights was there storm bolters and power weapons stock, and psychers

Why would Paladins want to prevent infiltrators and Scouts?

Sounds like free money to me.

Also, you can unmastercraft all of your weapons for more points...they really don't need it.

The servo skulls prevent infiltrators hence why I suggested the points for the inquisitor and his servo skulls.

Paladins want units closer...don't prevent them!

Ha....that's like Tyranids trying to prevent drop pods...it would work more against them than for them.

Good point but then again my local area has a decent amount of tyranid players so the longer I have to shoot the better

obviously needed

Elites(Troops):
10x Paladins
4x Master Crafted Psycannons
1x Brotherhood Banner (On a Psycannon)
3x Nemesis Force Halberds (With Psycannons)
4x Master Crafted Force Halberds (Without Psycannons)
2x Master Crafted Nemesis Daemon Hammers (1 of these guys has Master Crafted ranged as well [extra 5 points])
un-MC everything but the psycannons, not really needed and makes it stupid hard to keep track of

7x Paladins
2x Master Crafted Psycannons (1 of these guys has Master Crafted Nemesis Weapons too)
1x Brotherhood Banner (On a Psycannon)
6x Nemesis Force Swords (All Master Crafted)
as above with the MC thing, and maybe drop the banner. If you can maybe get a terminator inquisitor with presience and psycannon (5 rerolling psycannons would be awesome)

I have half a mind to kill you, and the other half agrees
