After my Woooo Eldar thread garnered so much useful advice, I figured I'd throw my Space marine list up here. White Scars/IG for that Speed/pieplate combo.

My plan of asnack: get into CC. The Manticore deals with those who don't want to come forward, slamming those S10 blasts down all day. Khan moves with one of the Grav-bike squads for extra cc punch, (mostly for extra HoW hits). However, I don't ever plan on getting into combat with anything that is actually good at combat. Firewarriors? Sure. Necron Warriors? Sure. Canoptek Wraiths? NOPE. Wraithknight? HECKA NOPE. That's what Grav-guns are for. As they say, assault the shooters, shoot the assaulters. Scouting helps place my units where I want them even if I don't go first.
The primary use of CC is to disable vehicles. Rear armor ten is great when your hammer of wrath hits are S5, and then you have melta bombs. The Fire Raptor can engage three different units at the same time, which is fly as the dickens. The Vendettas are there to ferry (and then later drop) the Vet squad and psyker down. The psyker will have either biomancy or psychic shriek going on, whichever seems more fun at the time.
