Scout Sentinel, Lascannon, Camo Netting
Scout Sentinel, Lascannon, Camo Netting

Leman Russ, sponson and hull Heavy Bolters, pintle Heavy Stubber, Camo Netting,

So, I was thinking of the Vogen campaign which is urban combat themed (hence all the flamers and mortars). Anyways, I figured the Librarian and Dread could hang back and support the Infantry platoons with prescience and extra heavy weapons, the CCS and PCS can hang out of sight, issuing Orders and dropping a few shells from a distance while the more mobile elements go out for objective grabbing/entrenched enemy removal. I dunno, on one hand it seems fun and has a fun theme of Imperial cooperation, but on the other hand, I worry its just the beginnings of two armies squished together with no real cohesion, despite the potential I mentioned above.

Thoughts (except total list disassembly please)?
Thanks!

The Twilight Zone

The plasma cannon on the deathwing is probably a better buy due to cost and range. I understand if your concerned about getting hot, but you are in TDA...

Why bother with voxes, when a regimental standard does the job decently well for units close by. Cheap enough if you have the points, but easily expended for better things. A libby with an infantary squad mitigates leadership problems, and provides ATSKNF as well as prescience.

Camo netting is wasted on the sentinels, as they are best at being cheap but possible AT threats, and use mobility. Its ok on the russ, but with the standard battlecannon, you are snap shooting your other guns. Either go stock battlecannon, or get a russ with a non ordnance main gun.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

The reason for most of the Dark Angel units is they should be cheaply aquired as they're almost all DV modelz, which is another reason they are equipped as they are. I think they will be generally effective though.

I don't own tbe Guard codex yet, but I thought the Standard was for morale and the voxes were for Order re-rolls? I figured the re-rolls would come in handy. I had kicked around the jdea too, depending on the game, of combinging the two infantry squads into one giant prescienced units with the 4++ from the Librarian.
Also, indropped the camo netting and tbe power sword and thought about using the points for a 6man sniper special weapons team.
Anyways, what other tanks might you suggest if not the standard Battle Tank? I had considered an Eradicator with only a heavy flamer on the hull and a dozer blade in keeping with the urban combat theme, but that's not necesarrily where ill be fighting every time. Plus, its only 36" range so it may not get as many rounds of shooting in before it gets blown up...

Thanks for the reply!
